The Garden

San Francisco has been a mining town since the gold rush. We would rather garden.

Compute
Over 200 GB of VRAM in the living room. Loud when it is happy.
Garden OS
The house runs an operating system we wrote ourselves.
Second Nature
A game we made. At parties it turns guests into plants.
The garden
Four terraces of real soil out back. The one part that does not need us.

<charter>

Every new gardener signs this. It is short on purpose.

Cultivation. We are here to grow things, each other included. Nothing here is meant to be extracted and left behind.

Feedback. Software, gardens and people all run on it. We build, watch what happens, and adapt.

Intersections. Art, botany, engineering, philosophy, music. The good ideas turn up where those meet.

Showing up. None of it is mandatory. All of it works better when you turn up anyway.

  1. What do you think of plants?
  2. Coolest thing you built?
  3. How much does cleanliness matter to you?
